Test & Commissioning Coordination Manager in SURRY HILLS, New South Wales for sale

Throughout Australia, Alstom is delivering major Rolling Stock, Signalling and Service projects that includes the Sydney Metro Northwest and Sydney Light rail projects, Suburban trains in Melbourne and our latest signalling technologies in Queensland and Western Australia. Alstom has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Rail Systems T&C Engineer to join or Sydney Light Rail project team. This role will support the Testing & Commissioning Manager when it comes to the coordination of all testing & commissioning activities taking place on the scope of the project. Defining the pre-requisites and the priorities for the T&C planning. Coordinating the production of the T&C documentation. Managing the interfaces with the different entities Witnessing or performing specific tests on the system Plan and coordinate the site tests Coordinate the necessary means for the realisation of the systems tests, being understood that each entity provides the staff and test tools for their own equipment. Organising the "readiness reviews" prior to the systems tests; follow-up the corrective actions mandatory before the systems tests start. Create and manage action plans corresponding to malfunctioning of the system, aiming to reach the performances targets. Manage the system configuration during the successive tests phases. Chair the T&C Weekly Meeting to review requirements for T&C activities. Produce and issue the T&C Six Week Look Ahead planning. Manage a team of System Test Engineers. To be successful in this role you will ideally have: Previous experience having worked the Testing & Commissioning of large rail infrastructure projects. A Degree in Electo-mechanical Engineering would be advantageous. Familiar with working in and around live electrified railway/tram systems. Previous experience working on the T& C of Rolling Stock, Substations, SCADA systems, Automatic Vehicle Location Systems and Depot equipment. At least 5 Years' experience working within the field of Urban railway installation, preferably on light rail infrastructure projects.
